Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Sourcing & Quality Control Coordinator to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for identifying and developing new supplier partnerships, maintaining strong relationships with existing vendors, and ensuring our products consistently meet the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate has relevant experience in procurement, supplier management, and / or quality control, with the ability to balance cost, speed, compliance, and innovation.


Key Responsibilities:

Vendor Sourcing & Development

Research, identify, and qualify new vendors (domestic and international).

Develop sourcing strategies aligned with company goals for cost, quality, and lead times.

Conduct RFI/RFQ/RFP processes to evaluate supplier capabilities and competitiveness.

Maintain and develop a pipeline/database of potential suppliers with detailed profiles.

Vendor Evaluation & Relationship Management

Verify supplier compliance, certifications, and production capacity.

Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply terms.

Build and maintain long-term, collaborative supplier partnerships.

Monitor vendor performance using KPIs (on-time delivery, defect rates, responsiveness).

Conduct regular business reviews with strategic suppliers.

Product Validation & Market Alignment

Request and evaluate product samples to ensure compliance with specifications.

Benchmark products against market standards and competitor offerings.

Collaborate with product and sales teams to align quality expectations with customer demand.

Quality Control & Assurance

Develop and maintain product specifications and inspection criteria.

Oversee quality checks and third-party inspections (pre-production, in-line, and pre-shipment).

Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for product quality issues.

Audit supplier quality management systems to ensure ongoing compliance.

Continuous Improvement & Risk Management

Identify opportunities for cost reduction and quality improvement.

Ensure multiple sourcing options to mitigate supply chain risks.

Stay current on regulatory requirements, trade rules, and industry standards.

Track supplier innovation to introduce new products and improvements to the market.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Business, Engineering, or related field.

2+ years’ experience in sourcing, procurement, QC or supplier quality management.

Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

Experience with international and domestic suppliers, manufacturing, and compliance requirements.

Knowledge of quality control standards (ISO, FDA, CE, etc., depending on industry) is a PLUS

Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with inventory management systems, ERP

Knowledge of international shipping regulations and procedures.

Familiarity with pricing analysis and strategy development.
