Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented LTL Audit Analyst to join us. This role focuses on financial auditing responsibilities to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and cost control across our Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in LTL coordination, strong analytical skills for cost validation, and the confidence to interact with carriers to resolve billing discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Auditing & Financial Control

  • Compare quoted LTL costs vs. actual invoiced carrier charges to ensure billing accuracy.

  • Identify and document discrepancies in freight invoices (e.g., accessorial charges, incorrect weights, reclassifications).

  • Collaborate directly with LTL carriers to dispute incorrect charges and obtain timely resolutions.

  • Maintain audit logs and reporting for management review and cost tracking.

  • Provide weekly/monthly reports highlighting cost savings opportunities, trends in discrepancies, and carrier performance.

  • Continuous Improvement & Support

  • Recommend process improvements to reduce recurring billing discrepancies.

  • Support carrier performance reviews by providing cost and service-level insights.

  • Assist in optimizing carrier selection based on cost, performance, and service.

  • Contribute to team initiatives aimed at improving overall operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field (preferred).

  • 1–3 years of experience in logistics operations, preferably with direct LTL exposure.

  • Prior experience in freight auditing, billing reconciliation, or carrier invoice analysis highly desirable.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas) for auditing and reporting.

  • Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and carrier portals.

  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Customer-focused mindset with proactive ownership of tasks.
