The role entails strategically sourcing and aligning trucking companies with our client's shipment portfolio, ensuring seamless coordination from pickup to delivery. This encompasses the execution of strategic customer support initiatives, including both outbound and inbound calls to trucking companies nationwide. In addition, you will be responsible for overseeing shipment tracking and promptly addressing any arising issues to ensure the smooth and efficient transportation of goods.
Duties and Responsibilities:
·Conduct outbound/inbound calls to carriers in the client's internal and external networks.
·Negotiate and sell competitive rates for our client's shipments.
·Supervise the track and trace of the shipments.
·Proactive in communicating daily with the trucking companies you will work with.
·Handle shipment exceptions.
·Resolve issues related to the shipments and communicate them to account management.
oPricing too high, transit too long, etc.
·Maintain and develop positive business relationships with clients.
·Collaborate with other departments as necessary to meet client requirements or win business.
·Maintain competitive margins to win business.
